Council of the Great Lakes Region
Join leaders from Ontario Power Generation Group, Council of the Great Lakes Region, and 5 Lakes Energy to discuss shifting to a Clean Energy Economy in the Great Lakes Region.
Underpinning the conversation is the most recent set of policy insights from the Council of the Great Lakes Region: “Powering Forward: Accelerating the Binational Great Lakes Region’s Clean Energy Transition,” published January 2021. The report includes the demand for and the potential to supply clean power (through new technology and approaches); distributed energy resources and grid design for the 21st century; and the trend of ‘electrifying everything.’ The clean energy transition is a huge opportunity for the Great Lakes Region, not only to power future prosperity and global health, but also to protect the Great Lakes.
SPEAKERS
Skip Pruss, Co-Founder, 5 Lakes Energy LLC
Stanley “Skip” Pruss, an attorney and energy consultant, co-founded 5 Lakes Energy LLC, a clean energy consultancy. Skip will present a paper co-authored with Douglas Jester summarizing the opportunities and challenges of accelerating the clean energy transition in the Great Lakes Region.
