The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), and now the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) will provide unprecedented opportunities for local and tribal governments to invest in infrastructure, including to address climate change, and make our communities healthier, more resilient, and more sustainable. Navigating the many federal programs, planning, and applying for grants can be challenging.

This webinar will focus on how your community can identify priority projects and plan for funding, how to apply for federal grants using Grants.gov, and how to manage and report on grants that are awarded.

Presenters:

  • Shanna Draheim, Policy Director, Michigan Municipal League
  • Judy Ceresa, Senior Program Advisor, Grants.gov
  • Julie Staveland, Sustainability Section Manager, Michigan Dept. of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy

This is the second in a series of three webinars this fall. If you would like technical assistance, Madigan Consulting & Coaching will also provide one-on-one assistance to local and tribal governments to navigate funding opportunities and apply for funding - contact Kate.

This work is Led by 5 Lakes Energy and supported by the Department of Energy and the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy and a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy.
