All Michigan residents deserve access to the economic and environmental benefits solar energy provides.
The only problem: Michigan law currently prohibits this.
Please take one minute to let your Representative and House Energy Committee members know it’s time for Michigan to open its doors to community solar.
Millions of people and businesses in Michigan are being shut out of solar because they don't own their own home or office building, or their roof is not suitable for solar. Community solar gives all Michiganders the choice to sign up for solar projects regardless of income level or whether they rent or own.
Fortunately, a set of bipartisan bills - House Bills 4715 and 4716 - have been introduced to allow Community Solar in Michigan, and the House Energy Committee will hold a hearing on these bills next week.
It is time every Michigan resident has the option to save on their energy bills by choosing clean, affordable solar energy.
