DWEJ's Summer Watch Party

Wednesday, July 21, 2021
7:00 p.m.– 9:00 p.m. EDT

Is water a human right? Let's talk about it! You are invited to join Detroiters Working for Environmental Justice (DWEJ) as they host a virtual Summer Watch Party with the theme, "Detroit Water Issues Past and Present." They will be streaming the multiple award winning 2007 short film "The Water Front", directed by Liz Miller.

Following the film will be a discussion panel exploring the water crisis in Highland Park, along with the water security issues many Detroiters still face and which were laid bare during the COVID-19 pandemic. Audience members are encouraged to ask questions. The panel will be helmed by local figures deeply involved in both Highland Park and Detroit water issues.
