The Michigan Public Service Commission has scheduled a community forum in Detroit to provide an opportunity for DTE Electric Co. customers to comment on the utility’s long-term energy resource plans to meet customer needs.
MPSC Chairman Sally Talberg said it is important for the Commission to hear from southeast Michigan residents about DTE Electric’s integrated resource plan. Talberg added that the event gives those who receive electric service from DTE a chance to offer their views on the company’s proposal (Case No. U-20471), as well as talk with commissioners and MPSC staff.
Talberg will be joined by Commissioners Norman Saari and Daniel Scripps on Thursday, June 20, for two sessions at Wayne County Community College District’s downtown campus. MPSC staff will give a presentation about the integrated resource planning process and highlights of DTE Electric’s proposal, which was filed in March and is pending before the Commission.
This is a key opportunity for residents and business owners to learn about—and share their views and input on—DTE’s long-term proposals for fulfilling customers’ electricity needs.
