This is one of 52 simultaneous webinars that will broadcast on April 7, highlighting how ambitious state and local action can put us on the path to solving climate change by 2030.
State leaders will share three ambitious but feasible actions that could be taken to combat climate change in Michigan. Interested college, university and high school faculty members can engage students in a discussion about climate change with the webinar and access additional discussion resources for multiple disciplines.
The webinar is hosted by Michigan State University and offered as part of the national Solve Climate by 2030 project, led by Bard College, that seeks to engage more than 100,000 students across the country in dialogue about state and local climate solutions. A recording will be available following the webinar.
Speakers Include
- Wolfgang Bauer, Associate Vice President for Administration, Michigan State University
- Regina Strong, Environmental Justice Public Advocate, Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy
- Charles Griffith, Director, Climate & Energy Program, Ecology Center
