Andrew Sarpolis (He/Him) serves as the Communications Director at the Michigan Climate Action Network (MiCAN), where he helps amplify climate communications and supports MiCAN’s members through the organization’s digital platforms.

Andrew brings experience in organizing, operations, and communications to the role. He has spent over a decade supporting climate programs at the Michigan Sierra Club, state-level nonprofits, and political campaigns.

Andrew holds dual bachelor-level degrees in Political Science and International Economic Relations, as well as a Master’s in Public Administration, for which he completed an original dissertation on county-level sustainability action plans. He also earned an Executive Education Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.

In 2024, Andrew was honored with the EDF Climate Advocacy Leader Award and recognized by Crain’s Detroit as a Notable Leader in Sustainability. He is also an active member of the Climate Justice Action Learning Hub at the Leading Change Network..

In his free time, he enjoys taking walks with his Chihuahua (Abby), brewing methodically crafted cups of coffee, drawing, and making new vegetarian recipes.
