Strategic Plan
Welcome to the Michigan Climate Action Network’s carefully crafted five-year strategic plan, which will guide the team’s actions until 2027 toward achieving a long-term vision for the climate movement.

More About Our Vision
Twenty-Year Vision

By 2042, MiCAN will be a model for movement building through service to the climate advocacy field by acting as:
- The megaphone that amplifies the people, organizations, and communities that are leading on real, equitable climate solutions and inspires hope for the future
- The switchboard that connects the people and organizations leading the on-the-ground work
- The central hub for support that sustains climate advocates in the fight for the long haul.
This will ensure a powerful network of climate leaders and inspire durable cultural shifts that lead to a more just, equitable, resilient, and sustainable future for all Michiganders.
Five-Year Vision

By 2027, MiCAN will be the megaphone of the climate movement in Michigan, amplifying the collective call for bold climate action and lifting up the people, organizations, and communities that are leading on real, equitable climate solutions that put Michigan on track to meet or exceed the 2030 MI Healthy Climate Plan targets.
