Michigan’s next generation of climate leaders, already getting to work

Michigan Teachers: Participate in a Climate Education Curriculum Pilot
MYLES is looking for Michigan teachers interested in participating in a short-term climate and environmental education curriculum pilot.
The pilot will run for about 2–3 weeks and is designed to work alongside lessons teachers are already teaching. Teachers can expect approximately 5–10 minutes of administrative work every couple of days during the pilot.
Participating teachers will have an opportunity to share their experiences and feedback, connect with other educators, and help inform future climate education resources for Michigan students and teachers.
Teachers can apply or can be nominated using the button below!

Outreach Toolkit
MYLES developed this hands-on resource to guide their work in the field, covering how to build partnerships, organize community projects, and take meaningful action.
MI Green Schools
Through the MI Green Schools program, MYLES connects with schools statewide to spotlight how students are driving sustainability through environmental projects, awareness campaigns, and school-wide initiatives.
Anti-Idling Campaign
MYLES created this campaign to reduce unnecessary vehicle idling and improve air quality. Youth leaders work with schools, neighborhoods, and local officials to raise awareness, push for change, and cut vehicle emissions where it counts.
Environmental Literacy Task Force
MYLES is pushing for passage of House Bill H04949, which would establish a statewide Environmental Literacy Task Force. This would ensure Michigan students and communities get the knowledge and skills to make informed environmental decisions. Through MiCAN’s Policy Subcommittee, MYLES engages legislators and drives program development to make it happen.
