Charles Gould specializes in renewable energy and energy conservation for Michigan farmers and agribusinesses, promoting sustainable practices for the future. His expertise includes dual-use land management, conservation for solar projects, bioenergy crop production, small anaerobic digesters, and on-farm energy conservation, as well as manure management to enhance cropping systems and compost production.
He has authored various publications and successfully managed 22 grants totaling over $400,000 since 1995. With over 30 years of experience in strategic objectives aimed at improving profitability and environmental benefits, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Education from Utah State University and a Master’s in Agricultural Extension from The University of Georgia, focusing on water quality. Charles has been part of Michigan State University Extension since 1995.
