What Are Candidates Saying About Climate & Energy? A Voter Education Webinar

What Are Candidates Saying About Climate & Energy? A Voter Education Webinar

Election years offer opportunities to elevate the issues that matter to our communities. When candidates, our neighbors, and the media are paying attention, we can put climate and energy on the agenda, ask candidates where they stand on issues like energy affordability and data centers, and make sure voters have the information they need to make informed decisions.

Across Michigan, organizations are helping voters understand where candidates stand on climate and energy issues. They’re creating voter guides, asking candidates tough questions, and sharing what they learn with the public.

Join MiCAN on Thursday, October 22, at 7 PM for a voter education webinar with Planet Detroit, The Grand Rapids Climate Coalition, and other partner groups. Explore voter resources, hear how organizations are engaging candidates, and learn how these efforts are bringing climate and energy issues into Michigan’s 2026 elections.

What you’ll take away:

• Voter Resources: Explore resources to help you learn where candidates stand.
• Candidate Accountability: Hear what questions candidates  are being asked and how they respond.
• Lessons from the Field: Learn how organizers are reaching candidates, the challenges of finding opportunities to engage them, and what they are learning along the way.
• Ways to Take Action: Find resources to share with your community and important election dates and information.

Bring your questions! We’ll close with a Q&A
