Climate Summit
We invited Michigan artists to submit their recent work that captures and processes this moment in our climate movement’s history in the way art is uniquely able to do. The theme for both the 2026 summit and this art exhibit is “Collective Courage,” uplifting the power of solidarity and collective action, and the need for our movement to be courageous in continuing to speak up, defy the status quo, and embrace diversity, unity, and change.

Dandelion Matriarchy tells a story of quiet defiance. Like dandelions pushing through concrete, it reflects how collective courage grows through connection, resilience, and the strength found in standing together despite pressure to disappear.
Jody Parmann is an artist who focuses on the story behind each piece they create. They think about what they are trying to communicate and how different elements come together to express that idea. Their work is driven by curiosity and a desire to create something that feels meaningful and intentional.
