Clean Energy

On August 13 advocates gathering in Comstock Township — and now the Township Planning Commission is set to vote on August 27 on the Swan Battery Energy Storage Facility, a project that could store nearly 200 MW of clean energy.
Fossil-fuel-funded disinformation is driving opposition, and we need supporters to show up to help talk about the benefits of renewables.
Batteries help store wind and solar, maximizing the amount of clean power we can use. We need projects like this to meet Michigan’s statewide requirement of 100% clean energy by 2050.
