Transit as a Critical Climate Solution

Tuesday, April 18, 2023
6:00 p.m.– 7:30 p.m. EDT

Virtual Via Zoom

Transit Riders United is hosting a series of Transit Tuesday Talks! Following the success of the State of Transit events, these monthly events bring transit leaders, riders, advocates, and allies together to dig into important transit issues facing the Detroit region.

Some are solely virtual, others are primarily in person with an online option. TRU is going to different parts of the region and partnering with a range of different groups to spotlight all the key transit issues. And they’re bringing in a range of transit leaders and experts to share what they know and to answer your questions.

Join April 18 for an Earth Day-themed event

April 18 TRU will host a virtual event focused on Transit as a Critical Climate Solution.

This Earth Week, join TRU, Ecology Center, and other allies to discuss how public transportation can be a vital part of the solution to the climate crisis, IF our state and local leaders will take the necessary policy actions.

Speakers include:

  • Charles Griffith, Ecology Center
  • Paul Jones III, TRU Board Vice President
  • Gregg May, 1000 Friends of Wisconsin
