As MiCAN’s Education Advisor, Elise provides leadership and organizational support to Michigan’s three statewide climate-focused educational tables: Higher Education for Climate Action in Michigan, the Climate Education Action Team, and the Michigan Alliance for Environmental and Outdoor Education.

Elise is a cultural anthropologist (Ph.D., Indiana University, 2013) with over a decade of experience researching and teaching racial and climate justice.
