The Michigan Climate Action Network is kicking off our annual summit with a live storytelling show! On the evening of Thursday, June 1st, 2023, Here:Say Storytelling will be staging a show at the Crofoot in Pontiac, MI. This live storytelling show is hosted by Groundwork Center for Resilient Communities and will feature true stories told on stage by performers from all walks of life.
This show will feature true, first-person stories that in some way reflect the very real consequences of climate change and directly affected something in the lives of each teller. Although climate advocacy may play a role in each story, the tales are not focused on doing the work of climate change, but rather reveal the very intimate implications for why climate advocacy is necessary.
We'll get acquainted with our place for the 2023 Summit, and into the spirit of solving the crisis on our hands with real, equitable solutions. Be prepared to experience a range of emotions from unsettled to inspired—then carry that renewed desire for accountability into our interactive sessions the next day.
If kicking back with a brew in a vibe-y venue for an evening of entertaining and empowering tales is up your alley but you need accommodations to stay the night, we've got you covered in our hotel block (reserve your room by May 19).
