Soulardarity got started in 2012 with a simple mission: bring back the street lights in Highland Park—but make them community-owned and solar powered. Since then, they’ve installed 17 in the city and are working to install even more—with your help! This celebration marks the installation of 10 new solar street lights on Florence & Louise and aims to raise funds to keep the momentum going.
Join Soulardarity, Michigan Climate Action Network (MiCAN), and other partners for a massive block party on Louise Avenue between Woodward & 2nd Avenue to celebrate this powerful work in Highland Park! There’ll be live music, food, art, information, celebration, and more. Celebrate what climate action looks like when it’s led by and for the community!
