Please join us and our partners at Oil and Water Don't Mix for a historic event to support the Indigenous and non-Indigenous groups working to protect sacred places including the Straits of Mackinac from the Enbridge Line 5 oil pipeline!

The House of Tears Carvers of the Lummi Nation has created a 25-foot totem pole that will travel from Washington State to Washington DC in July in a journey called The Red Road to DC. Along the road, the totem pole will visit many sacred and cultural places, including the Straits of Mackinac.

Learn more about the journey at the Red Road to DC website.

On July 27th at 9 AM EDT, Bay Mills Indian Community will be hosting this totem pole in Mackinaw City for its last stop en route to Washington DC. Please join us to take part in this incredible event.

As the event nears, you'll be receiving an email with the exact location for the event.
