For the October edition of the Community Voices Series, we are excited to be joined by Capital Area Friends of the Environment (CAFE), a dynamic grassroots organization based in the Lansing area that focuses on local climate action, community engagement, and empowering voters to take a stand for climate justice.
CAFE will showcase its ongoing local climate voter campaign, an impactful initiative designed to engage the community around the urgent need for climate action at the polls. They are committed to making climate a top priority in local elections, focusing on urging candidates for Ingham County Commissioner to answer key climate questions.
In addition to their voter engagement work, CAFE is involved in various impactful local initiatives, from advocating for renewable energy projects to promoting sustainable practices within the community. Their work is a model of how grassroots efforts can drive significant change, and this session will offer insights into how other communities can launch similar campaigns in their own areas.
Join us for this informative session to learn more about the work being done in the Capital Area and how we can all take steps to ensure that our local elections reflect the urgency of the climate crisis. Together, we can amplify the voices calling for real action and ensure that climate solutions are a priority in every community.
RSVP below to attend! You will receive an email with a link to join from Zoom.
