Join MiCAN's "Spring Break" learning call on March 22 to hear from Hawaii - the first state to pass a 100% renewable energy goal into law. Hawaii may have a very different climate and geography, but there are many things to learn from their success and ongoing work.

We'll talk directly with one of the leading advocates in moving forward Hawaii's 100% RE law, and discuss ways Michigan can start thinking bigger about renewable goals here.

Our Speaker

Melissa Miyashiro, Blue Planet Foundation - Melissa oversees Blue Planet’s strategic planning, policy, and organizational development. She received a law degree and a certificate in Environmental Law from the William S. Richardson School of Law and a B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Denver. Melissa was born in Colorado, spent her teenage years in Peru, and has lived in Hawaii since 2005. In 2016, Melissa was selected as one of the Pacific Business News “40 Under 40” young professional leaders. She serves as a Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE) board member and an editor for the Hawaii Bar Journal.
