Michigan Climate Strikes

Join the global movement started by young climate activist Greta Thunberg right here in Michigan calling for action on climate change.

On September 20, three days before the UN Climate Summit in NYC, young people and adults will strike all across the US and world to demand transformative action be taken to address the climate crisis. Millions of us will take the streets to demand a right to a future, and we’re inviting you to #strikewithus.

Leelanau Montessori parents and students please meet at 12:15pm in the school parking lot. Only students who ride with their parents may be able to leave school.

We’ll hold signs on Grandview Parkway and hear from compelling speakers about why we need to act, and what steps we can all take to address this crisis.
