Be Part of Something Bigger

Join us for a dynamic, members-only gathering where community-driven climate action meets the next generation of changemakers.

Hosted by MiCAN in collaboration with The University of Michigan, this in-person event is an initiative focused on empowering students to take climate action through internships and experiential learning, providing support for climate justice member groups, and preparing students to become future climate leaders.

Your participation will help shape the future of climate action in Michigan’s higher education system, and create valuable opportunities for students to drive meaningful environmental changes.

LUNCH PROVIDED.

Travel and participation stipends are available. Contact MiCAN Executive Director, Dr. Denise Keele for support.

Please RSVP by Wednesday May 7th to secure your spot.

This energizing day of connection and co-creation will:

  • 🌱 Spark powerful dialogue between U-M faculty, students and MiCAN member groups
  • 📚 Uncover the real-world skills students need to lead in climate justice spaces
  • 💬 Center the voices of local partners who make student internships truly impactful
  • 🤝 Elevate models of partnership that prioritize equity, reciprocity, and community leadership

This gathering is for you if you're passionate about growing stronger partnerships between students and community leaders, rooted in shared purpose and lasting impact.
