Thanks to the creativity and dedication of people around the world, we've broken the record for the largest display of origami fish — over 86,000! Each fish is a symbol of shared commitment to protect the Great Lakes. “Fish for the Future” is a region-wide project created to unite and energize the movement to shut down the Line 5 oil pipeline. 

This record-breaking event celebrates the lifeblood of our region—water—and displays the urgent need to shut down Line 5, reject the Line 5 Oil Tunnel, and ditch outdated, dirty and dangerous fossil fuels. Thousands of fish will be sent to Governor Whitmer and Governor Evers this summer to urge them to act on Line 5.
