Electrify West Michigan will learn how to ride the city bus (The Rapid) with Zachary Trebellas. This field trip is about art, placemaking, and slowing down to find beauty.

Meet at The Information Center at Rapid Central Station. After a talk from a Rapid employee, Zachary will take the group to the GRAM to find something beautiful to look at.

The GRAM is FREE on Tuesdays, but bring $1.75 for the bus in exact change or a contactless payment method like a debit card, credit card, or Apply Pay.

Zachary Trebellas is a Chicago native, arts worker, educator, and a guy who does not own a car. He's also a queer rapper, community builder, Quaker, and all-around baddie. He's thought a lot about placemaking and the beauty in slowing down.

A lot of Electrify's field trips are pretty technical. But what solutions exist for people who can't afford an electric vehicle, or don't want one? Can you reduce your transportation carbon footprint without a large expense? Maybe we'd be a little happier if we...slowed down to smell the flowers sometimes?
