6:00 p.m.– 8:00 p.m. EST
The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) is hosting a series of listening sessions to help inform the development of MI Solar for All program offerings and project selection.
The MI Solar for All program will support residential and community solar deployment to serve low-income Michiganders (defined as households earning no more than 80% of area median income or 200% of the federal poverty level, whichever is higher), with a goal of providing participants an average 20% reduction in electricity bills. This session will provide an overview of the MI Solar for All program and the 2025 pilot funding.
EGLE will gather feedback on the overall program, on topics such as prioritization and community needs. Feedback on pilot programs on the following is also desired:
- pilot program structure and expectations,
- specific end-uses to explore,
- pilot application procedures, and
- how to ensure a diverse range of pilot projects and participants.
The session will begin with a brief introduction by EGLE. We will then open it up for public comment, where those who wish to comment will have three minutes each. Input received in these sessions will inform MI Solar for All program offerings and prioritization.
After registering, you will receive an email from "EGLE Outreach" with a link for you to use to join the meeting. Pre-registration is not required to attend the meeting. Individuals interested in participating can click on the registration link (https://bit.ly/42iGSEg) at the start of the event (6:00 p.m.).
