DTE is a monopoly utility company that has affected Michiganders' lives in myriad ways. From frequent shutoffs to skyrocketing rates, from unreliable service to a badly-neglected grid, DTE has not done right by our communities.
But we know our power, and we know that when we come together, we are so much stronger than these corporations. That's why stories are so important: when we know we aren't alone, we are that much more secure in our power.
Join the Michigan Environmental Justice Coalition for a storytelling event and art fair where community members come together to share how DTE has affected our lives. All of us, no matter where we live or what we look like, deserve affordable, reliable, 100% pollution-free power. But to get there, we have to break DTE's monopoly and the hold it has on our lives. On July 20th, we'll share stories of hope and resilience as we prove that while DTE may have a hold on Lansing, they don't have a hold on our claim to a better future!
