“Climate Sisu” is the first documentary to address climate change and community resiliency in Michigan. Taking the audience on a journey from GVSU campus "Up North" in search of community knowledge about climate action, resilience, adaptation, and education, the documentary offers an urgent, yet optimistic call for climate action. It is a collection of powerful stories told by environmental activists, students, climate scientists, educators, farmers, winemakers, and urban planners, looking for climate change solutions in our state. Produced by Kristin Davis, Leah Anderson and Elena Lioubimtseva.
This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided. Bring your family and friends and share with your networks. Note that there will be no livestream for Climate Sisu until 2024, so come out in person to the GVSU Civic Engagement Showcase! Arrive early to peruse the Hager-Lubbers Exhibition Hall between 4:30 and 7:30, before watching Climate Sisu.
