As tens of millions of people are displaced from their homes and livelihoods by effects of climate change, Western Michigan University is hosting an international online symposium to help to build institutional capacity for supporting climate migrants. A significant focus is to explore practical ways for the international community to better help governments of highly affected countries and their partners to restore and integrate climate migrants in urban settings.

Event Schedule will be published in mid-September.

The symposium will include virtual spaces for networking, in addition to panel events. Information on networking opportunities and side discussions at the Symposium will be posted on October 1.

This symposium is organized by the WMU Climate Change Working Group.
