This session will start by briefly describing how the climate of the Great Lakes Region has changed over the past 100 years, then focus on the future. What would five degrees of global warming mean for ecosystems and human health in our region? How much better would our future be if we limited global warming to two degrees? We’ll finish by describing some of the things we can do today to make a better future more likely.
This event is part of the WMU Climate Change Working Group's "Climate Emergency: Spring into Action 2024", a semester-long look at the climate crisis and what we can do to address it – learn more!
