Support Gov. Whitmer on Line 5 Progress

Last week, the winds shifted in the efforts to shut down Line 5 and prevent an oil tunnel. This is a critical moment. Gov. Whitmer is getting serious heat from unions who want "tunnel jobs" and entrenched fossil fuel supporters who want to keep Line 5 flowing. Show her that we have her back!

    Support Gov. WhitmerCall Gov. Whitmer

Show Gov. Whitmer the support she needs to stay on the right side of this tunnel debate. Please call her office and report your call here.

    Call Gov. Whitmer: 517-373-3400

Use the following TALKING POINTS to help develop your message:

    • Thank you for standing up the climate by opposing Enbridge’s oil tunnel scam. It's just a way to keep Line 5 operating under the Straits of Mackinac.
    • Please continue to stand up for the Great Lakes and climate by revoking Enbridge’s easement to operate in the Straits of Mackinac and moving forward with decommissioning the Line 5 pipeline as quickly as possible.
    • Thanks for establishing a UP Energy Task force to examine Line 5 propane alternatives, and lower energy costs and impacts with renewables.

Then REPORT YOUR CALL by adding your name below!

I belong to the Huron Valley Indivisible group, a progressive grass roots organization. One of our concerns is climate change and the environment. We have approximately 300 members who are willing to call, write, and visit legislators to voice our concerns on many issues. We also write letters to the editors of local papers. Please contact me about how we can help. Thanks, Jeff
