2022 MICHIGAN CLIMATE AND CLEAN ENERGY SUMMIT

The Michigan Climate & Clean Energy Summit, held in Traverse City and virtually, brought together advocates, policymakers, and experts to drive progress toward Michigan’s net-zero by 2050 goal. This summit focused on building out clean energy infrastructure and was co-hosted by Groundwork Center for Resilient Communities.
Featuring keynote addresses from climate scientist Dr. Jonathan Overpeck and environmental justice leader Marnese Jackson, the event offered updates on climate policy, practical community solutions, and robust networking opportunities. Attendees explored pathways for equitable clean energy expansion and gained actionable insights to accelerate local and statewide change.
The Summit was both a call to action and a celebration of collective progress.
