Lansing Board of Water and Light (BWL) commissioners and Lansing City Council members are holding a public meeting to discuss a proposed natural gas plant in Lansing.

The proposed $500 million gas plant is bad for our economy, bad for our health, and bad for our planet.

A big citizen turnout at this meeting will show decision-makers that the people of Lansing and BWL ratepayers don’t want more fossil fuel mega-projects. Renewable investments will create more jobs, limit air and water pollution, and do our part to avert the catastrophic effects of climate change.

Let’s join together and make our voices heard. Bring a friend. See you Thursday, February 15, at 4:45 pm

[NOTE: You don’t need to stay for the whole hearing. If you can only make it for part of the time, the best time to be there is from 4:45 to 5:45 pm. We want a lot of people there when the meeting begins at 5:00 pm. Feel free to arrive anytime later.]
